The Countryside Education Project has been a tremendous success so far. More and more children attend the classes with lots of enthusiasm. The teaching schedule has been expanded and classes run from early morning until the evening.
There was no electricity in the village to light up the classroom in the evening and so the children would use flash lights to being able to read and write in their notebooks. Stichting Dom-ray therefore suggested to install a solar system in the village.
Stichting Dom-ray chose to go with the biggest solar system available. This allows us to light up the classroom and also makes it possible to use video and audio for listening and pronounciation skills. Also, 5 houses in the village can now be lit and the villagers can use the solar system to charge their electronics.
